Transforming Lives, One Child at a Time: Risvan’s Story
At Creation EduCare, Inc., we believe that every child holds a spark of divine potential. However, for many children in rural India, that spark is often dimmed by the harsh realities of poverty. Today, we want to share the story of Risvan Subash - a young boy whose life was changed because someone decided to look at him more closely.
A Chance Encounter
Three years ago, during a quiet afternoon in a small village in Tamil Nadu, India, one of our supporters came across a 10-year-old boy named Risvan. He wasn't in a classroom; he was in the fields, working as a goatherd boy grazing goats under the hot sun.
In Risvan’s community, the story is often the same: it is "normal" for children to drop out by Grade 8 to take up the labor of their parents. For Risvan, the odds were even steeper. Having lost his father, he lived with his mother, younger sister, and elderly grandfather in extreme poverty.
When asked if he wanted to go to a boarding school, Risvan didn't hesitate. With a bright smile, he said, "Yes."
From the Fields to the Classroom
Through the grace of God and the generosity of a dedicated sponsor, Creation EduCare was able to enroll Risvan at the ED Thomas Memorial Higher Secondary Adventist School in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India.
Today, Risvan is 13 years old and thriving in Grade 8. His Principal shares that he is a "happy student" who is an active participant in school activities. While he still helps his grandfather goatherd the goats during his vacations—honoring his roots and his family - his future is no longer limited to those fields. He now has the tools to dream bigger. "To educate a child is to change a generation."
How You Can Help Us Change a Life
Risvan is just one of thousands of children waiting for a chance to break the cycle of poverty. Our mission is to reach the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children, offering them hope through education.
We invite you to join hands with us in two ways:
-
Donate: Your financial support provides tuition, boarding, and a safe environment for children like Rizvan. Every dollar is an investment in a child's future and a piece of God's mission.
-
Refer: Do you know a child who is disadvantaged or at risk of dropping out? Bring them to our attention. We want to bring hope to these children by opening the doors to education.
Hebrews 13:16 – "Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
Will you join us in this mission of hope today?

Rani’s Journey: A Second Chance Through Education
In the heart of Odisha, India, a young girl's future was almost lost to the cycle of poverty. Today, thanks to supporters like you, Rani is rediscovering the joy of learning and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
A Life Against the Odds
Rani is the third of four siblings born into a family struggling for survival. In her community, education for girls is often seen as a luxury rather than a right. Her eldest sister was married at a very young age, and her second sister was forced to drop out of school. With her father working as a peddler—selling cotton candies and other food items door-to-door and then on streets—the family had to move frequently in search of work. As a result, Rani was forced to drop out of school in Grade IV. She remained out of the classroom for an entire year, her dreams of good education and escaping poverty fading with every passing month.
The Turning Point
We at Creation Educare learned of Rani’s situation through a local church member. In 2024, We were able to place her at the Khordha SDA Boarding School. However, the path was not without obstacles. After returning home for Christmas vacation, Rani didn't come back. When we contacted the school, we learned the heartbreaking reason: her parents simply did not have the money for bus fare to bring her back. We immediately stepped in. By providing the necessary transportation funds, we ensured that poverty would not steal Rani’s education a second time. She is now safely back in school, thriving in Grade V.
Progress and Hope
Today, Rani is a different child. She lives in the SDA boarding school where she is safe, well-fed, and focused on her studies. She is learning to speak English and showing remarkable improvement in all her subjects. Through a generous sponsor from the U.S. Virgin Islands, all of Rani’s expenses —tuition, books, uniforms, food, and hostel fees—are fully covered.
You Can Change a Life Like Rani's
Rani’s future is now bright, but she is just one of many. Countless children in India and beyond are waiting for a chance to break the chain of poverty. They are waiting for someone to believe in them. Will you be the hope a child is waiting for? A gift to Creation Educare provides more than just books; it provides a pathway out of poverty and a lifetime of opportunity.

Changing One Life, Reaching Many Souls
"Each child we educate today has the potential to transform countless lives tomorrow."
In the beautiful hills of Meghalaya, India, a young man named Skhem dreamed of dedicating his life to serving God. Yet, like many young people from economically disadvantaged families, his dream seemed beyond reach.
Skhem grew up in a single-parent household after his father left the family when he was a child. His mother worked tirelessly as a fruit and vegetable vendor in the local street market to provide for her children. Despite her hard work, meeting even the family's daily needs was a constant challenge.
Through perseverance and determination, Skhem completed his higher secondary education at his village. His family's faith journey also took an important turn when they accepted the Seventh-day Adventist message in 2015.
With a heart for ministry, Skhem began serving with the One Thousand Missionary Movement under Gospel Outreach for one year . During this time, God placed an even greater calling on his heart—to prepare for pastoral ministry at GATE Adventist Theological College.
Like every student at GATE Adventist Theological College, Skhem received an 80% scholarship toward his education. However, his family simply could not afford the remaining 20% of the tuition and educational expenses. Without additional support, he would have been forced to abandon his dream of becoming a pastor.
After carefully reviewing his application and family circumstances, Creation EduCare prayerfully accepted Skhem into our educational sponsorship program.
Beginning in 2024, generous supporters like you made it possible for Creation EduCare to sponsor the remaining 20% of his college expenses. We remain committed to supporting him until he completes his Bachelor's degree.
Today, Skhem is thriving academically and spiritually. He is actively involved in campus worship, outreach ministries, and evangelistic activities, preparing himself to become a faithful servant of God.
Recently, he shared a testimony that beautifully illustrates the impact of Christian service. During a week-long evangelistic campaign in Nongrynhkoh, Meghalaya, he and fellow students spent their days helping construct a home for a local family. They carried mud, lifted stones, dug foundations, and divided into groups to provide community service throughout the village.
Later, one of the church members shared something remarkable.
The homeowner confessed that he had been unable to sleep after watching the students work.
"I kept asking myself," he said, "Why would these young people come all this way to carry mud, stones, and dig the ground for me? They are students. Why are they serving me?"
The church member gently replied, "They did not come to be served, but to serve." Those simple acts of kindness touched his heart. Since then, the man has attended every evening meeting and has begun studying the Bible. We pray that, by God's grace, he will soon become a disciple of Christ and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Stories like this remind us that education does far more than prepare someone for a career—it prepares them for a life of service and ministry.
Because of your generosity, Skhem is not only receiving an education; he is learning to share Christ's love in practical ways that are already changing lives.
We believe that one day he will faithfully serve as a pastor, carrying the gospel to communities throughout India and leading many people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
Your investment in one student's education today will continue bearing fruit for generations to come.
